Privacy Policy

Khatadar respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the IT Rules, 2011.

What we collect

• Account: email, name, phone number.
• Business: shop name, address, GSTIN, UPI ID, logo.
• Records you enter: bills, customers, suppliers, items, stock, khata and expenses.
• Payments for plans: UPI transaction reference (UTR) and amount.
• Basic usage: sign-in time and device type, to keep the service secure.

How we use it

Only to run Khatadar: saving your records, printing bills, sending receipts, giving support and preventing misuse.

What we never do

• We never sell or rent your data or your customers' phone numbers.
• Our team does not read your bills, khata or stock. Each business's data is locked to its own login.
• We do not show ads inside the app.

Security

Data travels over encrypted HTTPS and is stored on secure cloud servers with per-account access rules.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers needed to run the app (hosting, email delivery), or when required by Indian law.

Your rights

• Download all your data anytime (Utilities → Download backup).
• Ask us to correct or delete your account and data.
• Withdraw consent by closing your account.

Retention

We keep data while your account is active. Deleted items stay in the Recycle Bin for 30 days. After account deletion, data is removed within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep it.
